Our Instructors


John Burry B.A., M.A.

Mr. Burry is an experienced university instructor and has been a professional communicator for more than 25 years. As a writer, journalist and publisher, he has written articles for a wide variety of newspapers, business journals and magazines and for more than 10 years was the publisher and editor of a prize-winning magazine for the telecommunications industry. As a principal in the communications firm The A·B·Y Group, he has provided marketing and communications counsel for such clients as Bell Canada, Hewlett-Packard, Canada Revenue Agency, and The Society of Management Accountants of Ontario, among many others. He has also written and produced four documentary films.

Mr. Burry is a member of Ryerson University’s Faculty of Professional Communications and over the past 10 years has taught a wide range of business communications courses to students of all ages and business backgrounds.

Arthur Young B.A., M.A.

Mr. Young is a writer, publisher and marketing and public affairs expert.

For more than 25 years, and as a principal in The A·B·Y Group, Mr. Young has provided marketing, public affaires and crisis communications counsel to a wide variety of corporate, government and professional association clients. He has also published articles in a number of newspapers and business publications and has appeared on television as a public affaires and crisis communications expert.

Mr. Young is also an experienced instructor and presenter and has designed and delivered courses in professional presentations and crisis communications to a diverse range of corporate and government clients.
